Please don't take it . . . . its mine.

To trifle with hearts is a crime of no small magnitude in the sight of a Holy God. And yet some will show preference for young ladies (or men)call out their affections, and then go their way and forget all about the words they have spoken and their effect. A new face attracts them and they repeat the same words, devote to another the same attention. "Thou shalt not steal" was written by the finger of God upon the tables of stone, yet how much underhand stealing of affections is practiced and excused! (Counsels for the Church pg 118)

Your course since you left Walter has been such as has not raised you in the estimation of anyone who has the love of God abiding in the heart. You have ever loved to be in the society, and have encouraged the attention, of young men. This you have done to your own injury. Advice and counsel in this matter have not done you any good, but created in you feelings of resentment. But will you consider how the heavenly angels look upon the course you have persistently pursued in having your own way, and your own will, strong, defiant, determined? (TSB pg 64)

Our minds and hearts are being worn out! This is a pretty lonely world we're in. If you don't know that by experience, you will someday . . . unfortunately in some respects but necessary in others. Its too bad we need to go through desertion and abandonment to begin to ACTUALLY realize our need of constantly depending on God the Father entirely. Some of us have had our trust, innocence, hope and joy stolen by significant others, we were lead to believe would endlessly supply them!

It takes a great deal of time to recover from such devastation if truly ever . . . know what I mean. I imagine this is why God equates this to theft! "Things" are not the only thoughts that God had in mind when giving the 8th command. The spiritual principal of stealing, goes far beyond the brief wording; just as killing was expounded upon by Jesus to include: unjust hatred and bitter envy. We need to stop and really consider that "WE" are brothers and sisters of faith . . . supposedly! If we are, shouldn't we consider how we treat and feel about each other? And more than this, how we influence the treatment and esteem of each other?!?!?

There is not enough room on this entry to get into what we all know occurs all too often among us. Lets try to find the courage to set things as right as we can, where we have really been deceptive. None of us want to have our hearts and affections any more damaged than what they are right now. Life is challenging enough. So watch out for your heart; kindly help someone who might be "caught up" watch out for theirs and gracefully accept councel, when offered about you. Our Father tells us in Psalm 147:3 "that" --He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.

May God's grace sustain you until then and keep you from those who would robe you.

I completely agree with you on this topic! What I really wanted to say, however, was thank you for giving references from the King James Bible and Spirit of Phophecy. I've noticed that many SDA youth leaders are too nervous about that because they think all teens don't want to hear that stuff. I'm 15, and I'm glad you're telling it like it is. Yes, there are some youth who think KJV and Spirit of Prophecy are boring or too hard to understand, but that doesn't mean the youth leaders should be wishy-washy about our beliefs! So...THANKS FOR FEEPING THE FAITH!!! =D
