Operation Global Rain Part 1

Michelle
June 7, 2007

Martha MuŮoz, a cool Bible worker at my church, the Augusta First Seventh-day Adventist Church in Augusta, Georgia, asked me if I knew anything about Operation Global Rain. I didnít, so Martha pointed out that there was a write-up about it on the back of our church bulletin. At home I rescued my bulletin from the floor, where Iíd put it on its way to the recycle bin. Iím glad I found it, because Operation Global Rain is something we all ought to get involved in! Let me tell you about it./p/ I found on the back of the bulletin that a few churches in Central California decided to hold a 10-day prayer event after the model of the early church. They didnít have speakers. Instead, people just got together and prayed for the Latter Rain from 7 to 8 p.m. over Bible verses and Spirit of Prophecy quotes. The result? All the churches experienced revivalóweíre talking unity and repentance! So they wondered what would happen if all the churches in their conference petitioned the throne of God at the same time for the same thing: the outpouring of the Latter Rain!/p/ For 40 days leading up to June 27 (they started May 18), many people have been taking 40 minutes to pray. Then, starting June 27 to July 7, many, many people will be petitioning the throne of God for His outpouring of the Latter Rain./p/ I asked Martha to help us understand what the Latter Rain is, in case anybody wasnít sure. So hereís what she e-mailed me--see my Operation Global Rain Part 2 blog, OK? There just wasn't enough space to put it all in this blog./p/ Michelle
