Do you really believe that Christ is coming back soon? If He is, how should our lives reflect this truth?

I think that the most important aspect of reflecting christ's second return, is living it day-by-day. We should always strive to act god-like in everything that we do, and I think that is the one of the aspects that we often times miss. We shouldn't let other things get in the way of our personal devotion with God...I have to admit though, sometimes I'm guilty of putting other things before God, and that's not good.

School's becoming my idol A 9/14/2010
I feel as if I'm always putting schoolwork above God. I'm only a freshman in highschool, and I'm son concerned about getting all A's to get into a good college. I can't remember the last time I got down on my knees and really talked to God (outside of church, of course). I'm so concerned with the future, please help me realize that God is now. Thanks, and please pray for me.

I know exactly what you mean. Like the above responses I am going through the same thing too. I have come to the realization that it is only through God that I can succeed. And yes, successful education is a way of improving my life, but it can also cause me to neglect my spiritual life. I must say God has been very God, and He will supply and will be with you through all this.

i wonder why in some missionary stories, jesus appears to kids and people, converted and not converted, and anwsers their prayers and appears to them and acts like their friend. examples are enoch, moses, abraham and elisha and some people of today. i'm jelous of these people because they saw jesus. I Want to see him as well in personally. sometimes when i think of these people as special, it makes me cry. and sometimes i have thought of going to to the occult side. how can i see jesus and relive my aching heart

When I get sad or lonely, when I have a chance, I look at the sparrows. They chirp and fly around and get food, and no one pays close attention to them. They may think, "Oh, it's just those little brown birds." In the Bible, Jesus says that God knows when they fall. He cares about those birds, and He cares even more about you. Just think of it, the Creator of the universe is right there, ready to comfort and guide you.

Questioning our origins Nirobi 6/11/2010
Okay, I have a big question. Why did God create us ?? The reason I have such a problem with this question is this : When I asked my mom and friend, they said so God could enjoy us. But then, why would we make us suffer ?? If that's why he created us, then why didn't He just create us to be with him in Heaven (same thing as Angels) ?? And then they also said God gave us the choice to chose and He didn't know what we were going to chose. But that doesn't make any sense because God is suppose to know everything right ?!?! I really need some answers please ! I'll still and always believe in God and trust Him, but my faith is damaged becausei can't answer this question so what if a non-believer asks me that question ?? Sorry for making it so long !

My Awana group just discussed this last weekend! God created us to be made "in His image" (Genesis 1:27). He created us to have a relationship with Him, to worship and praise Him. It is because of the fall of man--when Eve and Adam sinned--that we suffer. It is an issue of sin, not because God puts that suffering on us. There are things that He allows to happen for a reason--whether it'
