Friends at church. Anonymous 6/10/2006
Here's my problem. I'm a 15 almost 16 girl and most (actually all) teens at my church are away at academy or have stopped coming. I'm homeschooled. That means that at church I hang out with the kids from Pathfinders who are between the ages of 10 and 13. I don't mind that, really. But whenever there ARE teens my age around, I get ignored. Like everyone expects me to go talk to their little sister or something. It doesn't help that I'm really shy around people I don't know. Should I just be thankful for good, albeit younger, friends?

Everyday i was depressed and pretended to be happy but truly i was broken and empty and needed help unfortunately there was nobody that i wanted (well i thought i wanted).

Friendship Alexander J. 2/17/2006
For me, I feel like everyone has a close friendship with everyone, but it seems like I have an "aquaintance friendship" with my friends. How do I get closer to them?

Being such of a buddy tight close friend with just one individual can make u miss out on being a good friend to another person. So generalizing or having a group of good friends is a good alternative. Then, God gives us what we can handle at the present time. So just trust in God and He will make ur friendship path straight.

Online relationships Dee 3/4/2005
I've spent quite a bit of time online chatting and whatnot. I think the internet can be a powerful medium for meeting and reaching new people. I won't say I use the internet solely for evangelizing because I don't, but I do try to approach each person that I meet online with a Christian perspective. However, lately I've been wondering about the dearth of Adventist online stuff. I would love to meet more Adventist young people to talk to on the internet. I think a lot of people would find it helpful and even uplifting. So I am going to go out on a limb here and leave my AIM sn on here. Maybe if we get enough people, we can start having chats on Fridays or Sabbaths or whenever is best. AIM - LikLightning

some small things that maettr most, we seem to assume and tend to take more consideration on big maettrs. if we accept the salvation of Jesus Christ on us, God's grace will be upon us always to save us from iniquities.

where are all the men sarah 1/29/2004
Is it just in my area or our all our teenage men leaving the church gradually?

yes alot of the church's young men are leaving, but remember this is a worldwide church and u can go to any branch to find one and trust me, there are young men in the church who are there because of the love of God and they are staying. pray and ask God to help u find the one He wants you to have.
